Russia's interest in XRP has come under scrutiny as Digital Asset Investor presents evidence that suggests the country has examined Ripple's technology and its potential role in cross-border payments.

Schwartz's analogy suggested that institutions may initially prefer closed networks but later choose to connect with wider payment infrastructure once the necessary technology is in place.

Digital Asset Investor maintained that Ripple has spent years developing this infrastructure and that Schwartz's comments referred to a future where separate financial networks can lower their barriers and move value through XRP as a bridge asset.
