Russia's Moscow Exchange Launches Perpetual Futures Contracts for Qualified Investors
Moscow Exchange is preparing to launch Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) perpetual futures contracts, marking a significant step for Russia's largest trading platform.
The products will initially be available exclusively to qualified investors, with plans to expand the number of supported cryptocurrencies to 10. Perpetual futures are a type of derivative that allows traders to speculate on the price of an asset without an expiration date.
Moscow Exchange aims to attract a broader range of investors interested in digital assets while maintaining regulatory compliance. The exchange has also discussed establishing its own digital depository to support cryptocurrency trading and asset management, enabling secure custody and settlement of digital assets.
