Russia's Telegram Users Can Buy Stars with Crypto via Virtual Cards

Share

In Russia, Telegram users can buy Stars, the internal currency of the messaging system, using cryptocurrency through virtual cards. The Stars are used to pay bots, support channel authors, and purchase features inside mini-apps, as well as gift Telegram Premium.

The basic package of 50 Stars costs $0.99, which is about 73.5 rubles at the Central Bank rate in May 2026. However, the real cost starts with service fees for issuing and topping up the virtual card.

According to a comparison of services, WantToPay offers the most convenient option for buying Stars through cryptocurrency top-ups without additional commission on top-ups.
