RWA deposits across decentralized lending and trading platforms reached $7.4 billion in Q2 2026, more than tripling from $2.3 billion one year earlier, according to a recent report by CoinShares produced with Token Terminal.

The growth of RWA deposits coincided with a decline in DeFi activity, which fell approximately 15% between the second quarters of 2025 and 2026.

The report highlights the increasing use of tokenized assets in lending platforms and decentralized exchanges, with almost 70% of deployed RWA collateral remaining within Ethereum-based lending markets during the period.
