RWA Trading Surpasses Crypto on Hyperliquid for First Time
The Hyperliquid exchange has seen a significant shift in trading volume, with tokenized real-world assets (RWA) surpassing cryptocurrency trading for the first time. In the week of July 13-19, RWA accounted for $25.1 billion, or 52% of the platform's total $48.2 billion trading volume.
This marks a major structural shift in the crypto market, with ARK Invest Head of Digital Assets Research Lorenzo Valente calling it 'a new era for DeFi'.
Hyperliquid's weekly revenue reached $7.6 million, ranking third among crypto apps after Tether (USDT) and Circle (USDC).
