S&P Global Invests in Kaiko, Boosting Crypto Market Data Provider to $110M
S&P Global has invested in Kaiko, boosting the crypto market data provider's Series B round to $110 million. The funding will support Kaiko's core business and expand into onchain financial infrastructure, including tokenized Treasury bills, money markets, equities, and bonds.
The investment includes major players such as BNP Paribas, Coinbase Ventures, Nasdaq Ventures, and Royal Bank of Canada, among others. These investors will also collaborate with Kaiko in an industry working group for tokenized-product data standards.
Kaiko's expansion aligns with the broader Wall Street shift towards blockchain-based trading, settlement, and collateral workflows. The company's recent acquisitions point to a platform build aimed at aggregating data capabilities and distribution channels across crypto-native markets and tokenized securities use cases.
