S&P Global Invests in Kaiko to Fuel Crypto Data Expansion
S&P Global led a strategic investment in crypto data provider Kaiko, extending its Series B funding to $110 million. The new total represents a cumulative figure from two rounds of funding: an initial $53 million raised in June 2022 and the latest extension.
The investment comes less than two weeks after S&P Dow Jones Indices and Kaiko announced their co-branded S&P Kaiko Digital Asset Indices suite, which covers over 4,000 rates and indices. The partnership pairs Kaiko's digital-asset data operations with S&P Dow Jones Indices' index business.
Kaiko will use the new capital to support its core digital-asset data business and expansion into onchain capital-markets infrastructure. The company's institutional-grade data infrastructure covers more than 150 exchanges and protocols, designed for 24/7 digital-asset and tokenized markets.
