Sabah Ketum Bust Yields Over 11 Tonnes of Powder Valued at over RM1.4 Million
Law enforcement agencies in Sabah, Malaysia made a significant bust recently, seizing over 11 tonnes of processed ketum powder from a premises along Jalan Tuaran. According to Info X, this is believed to be among the largest ketum seizures recorded in the region.
The raid was carried out by the Marine Police (PPM) and the Tuaran Police Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID), who were tipped off about the operation through intelligence gathering. A total of 11,450kg of ketum powder was seized from the premises, along with a vehicle.
The estimated value of the seized ketum powder alone is RM1.145 million, while the total value of the seizure exceeds RM1.4 million. Four individuals were detained to assist in investigations and all tested negative for drugs in preliminary urine screening.
