Safepal Data Breach Exposes Nearly 40,000 Customers
Crypto wallet provider Safepal has announced a security breach that exposed sensitive information of nearly 40,000 customers. The incident occurred between March 2, 2025 and April 11, 2026, affecting 39,798 users who placed orders during this period.
The compromised data includes order details, but Safepal assures that users' seed phrases, private keys, bank passwords, bank account information, payment card numbers, and government-issued IDs remain secure.
The company has taken steps to address the vulnerability by patching it and introducing additional security measures. An independent third-party security firm is auditing the fix and reviewing Safepal's order-processing systems.
