Saitama Executive Manpreet Kohli Faces Extradition in US Fraud Case

A British judge has rejected an extradition challenge from Manpreet Kohli, Saitama's former executive, in relation to US fraud charges tied to the cryptocurrency project.

Kohli is accused of secretly selling Saitama tokens while publicly claiming to hold and purchase them, making around $20 million in the process. The alleged scheme took place when Saitama's token reached a market value of approximately $7.5 billion.

Kohli had argued that US custody would not provide adequate safeguards against suicide, but Judge Samuel Goozee rejected this argument, stating that sufficient arrangements were available during transit and within the US prison system to manage Kohli’s mental health and reduce the risk to an acceptable level.
