Samsung has announced plans to add native support for stablecoins in its wallet app. This move would make Samsung one of the first major smartphone brands to offer this feature, according to Lee Dinham, a product manager at the company.

The announcement was made during the Galaxy Unpacked event in London on July 22. Dinham stated that Samsung Wallet will expand beyond cash and savings to include new forms of digital value, including stablecoins.

The wallet will support Circle's USDC, which is currently the second-largest stablecoin by market value. However, it's unclear whether Circle will be a partner in this endeavor or not.
