Samsung Adds Stablecoin Support to Wallet App

Samsung has announced plans to integrate stablecoins into its Wallet app, making it one of the first major mobile brands to do so. The feature is expected to allow users to access and transfer stablecoins directly within the app.

The interface previewed at Galaxy Unpacked showed a Wallet interface containing a stablecoin account denominated in USDC, with 'Send,' 'Receive,' and 'Top up' controls.

Samsung has not confirmed which stablecoins or blockchain networks it will support, nor whether the service will be custodial or self-custodial. The company has also not revealed any details on the release date, eligible-device list, or regional rollout schedule.
