Samsung Brings Stablecoin Support to Galaxy Wallet Across 61 Countries
Samsung is expanding its Galaxy Wallet to include native stablecoin support in 61 countries. The feature will allow users to store and transfer digital dollar tokens directly within the app, which currently handles credit cards, ID documents, transit passes, and loyalty rewards.
The company demonstrated USD Coin (USDC) on-stage at Galaxy Unpacked 2026, showing interfaces for sending, receiving, and adding funds. Samsung has not confirmed an official partner or launch date, but the stablecoin feature will be integrated into an app already used by approximately 19 million users in South Korea alone.
Lee Dinham, a specialist product manager at Samsung, stated that the integration aims to create an interconnected financial ecosystem on Galaxy devices. The move would make Samsung one of the first major mobile phone brands to offer native stablecoins on smartphones, enabling fast and reliable transfer of digital value.
