Samsung Brings Stablecoins to Samsung Wallet

Samsung is expanding its foray into cryptocurrencies by integrating stablecoins directly into its Samsung Wallet app. The move marks one of the most significant crypto moves yet from a major smartphone maker, with hundreds of millions of Galaxy users worldwide set to gain access to this new feature.

Stablecoins are a type of cryptocurrency designed to hold a steady value, typically pegged one-to-one to a currency like the U.S. dollar. They're built to stay stable, making them useful for everyday payments and transfers rather than speculation.

This plan was outlined during Samsung's annual Galaxy Unpacked showcase on July 22, where the company described its intention to fold stablecoins directly into Samsung Wallet alongside existing payments and rewards features.
