Samsung is expanding its Galaxy Wallet to include native stablecoin support in 61 countries. The move was announced at Galaxy Unpacked 2026, where USDC was demoed as part of the new feature.

The wallet will allow users to send, receive, and add funds to their digital dollar tokens directly within the app. This integration aims to make Galaxy devices the foundation for an interconnected financial ecosystem combining payments, rewards, and digital assets.

Samsung's existing crypto history dates back to 2019 when it launched a hardware-isolated digital asset vault through Knox, allowing users to store Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) and connect external hardware wallets like Ledger's Nano S and Nano X directly to a Galaxy device.
