Samsung Expands Mobile Payments with Stablecoin Support
Samsung Electronics has announced plans to expand its mobile payments platform, Samsung Wallet, by adding support for stablecoins. This move is part of the company's efforts to integrate blockchain-based assets into its broader mobile ecosystem.
The addition of stablecoin support will enable users to make fast and trusted digital value transfers using their smartphones, according to Samsung product manager Lee Dinham. He stated that Samsung Wallet will 'embrace new forms of digital value, including stablecoins,' marking the company's latest step toward integrating blockchain-based assets into its mobile ecosystem.
This development follows Samsung's expanded partnership with Coinbase in October 2025, which allowed Galaxy users in the US to buy crypto directly through Samsung Wallet. The integration initially targeted over 75 million Galaxy users in the country, with a broader rollout planned.
