Samsung Expands Mobile Payments with Stablecoin Support

Share

Samsung is expanding its mobile payment platform, Samsung Wallet, to include support for stablecoins. This move aims to bring cryptocurrency payments to Galaxy smartphone users worldwide. The updated wallet will combine payments, rewards, and digital assets within a single application.

The company has partnered with Coinbase to strengthen its broader digital asset strategy. However, the supported stablecoins, launch timing, and technology partners have not been announced. Samsung presented this initiative during the Galaxy Unpacked event as part of its wallet strategy to extend beyond traditional payment services.

This development builds on earlier blockchain partnerships, including the integration of Coinbase services into Samsung Wallet for US Galaxy users in October 2025. The partnership aimed to expand the service into additional markets over time and offered promotional benefits for eligible new customers using Samsung Wallet.
