Samsung Expands Wallet Services with Stablecoin Support
Samsung has expanded its crypto services by adding stablecoin support to its wallet app. The move is part of Samsung's broader strategy to turn its wallet into a full-fledged financial platform.
The update will allow users to manage various forms of digital value, including payments and rewards, alongside the new stablecoins. During the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung showcased a wallet interface featuring Circle's USDC as an example of the expanded functionality.
This development builds on Samsung's existing crypto strategy, which includes its hardware-backed crypto wallet and recent integration with Coinbase One in the U.S. The company has not confirmed any partnerships with stablecoin issuers at this time.
