Samsung Galaxy Wallet Adds Native Stablecoin Support
Samsung has announced that its Galaxy Wallet will support native stablecoin support, making it one of the first major mobile brands to do so.
The company's product manager, Lee Dinham, confirmed this at the Galaxy Unpacked event in London on July 22. He stated that Samsung Wallet will expand beyond cash and savings to include new forms of digital value, including stablecoins.
No specific launch date or partner was mentioned, but a demo of the wallet showed Circle's USDC alongside send, receive, and top-up options.
This move is part of Samsung's broader push into crypto, which includes its existing partnership with Coinbase for over 75 million users in the U.S. who can make crypto purchases through the wallet.
