Samsung SDS Partners With Upbit Operator on Stablecoin and AI Payment Deal
Samsung SDS is moving deeper into digital finance by pursuing a deal with Dunamu, the operator of Upbit, to build joint infrastructure for stablecoins and AI-based payment systems.
The talks were confirmed by CEO Lee Jun-hee during the company's Q2 earnings call, where he revealed that Samsung SDS has completed end-to-end testing of the full stablecoin process, covering issuance through to settlement.
Samsung SDS and Dunamu plan to develop concrete business models for digital financial infrastructure using the former's cloud, security, and IT capabilities alongside Dunamu's blockchain experience.
The partnership is strategic rather than a financial position, according to Lee, who said the two companies aim to create joint AI-based payment systems with stablecoin support.
