Samsung Sets 2026 Timeline for Stablecoin Support
Samsung has confirmed plans to roll out stablecoin support in its Wallet by 2026. The company first previewed this direction at Galaxy Unpacked 2026 in London, where it said Wallet would move beyond cash and savings tools to support new forms of digital value.
The planned features include account opening, cross-border remittances, and in-store payments settled in stablecoins. These functions will be introduced sequentially, with global expansion following only after regulatory review in each country.
Samsung's current non-custodial wallet supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tron on a non-custodial basis, but the new plan is meant to add a custodial, account-based structure.
