Samsung Wallet Prepares Stablecoin Support Amid Fintech Push

Share

Samsung Wallet is gearing up to add support for stablecoins in its digital payments push. This move will allow users to store, send, and receive cryptocurrencies within the app.

The news comes after several partnerships between major financial institutions and fintech companies in South Korea. Circle has signed memoranda of understanding with Kakao Group and Toss Bank to explore stablecoin payment infrastructure in the country.

This development is part of a broader effort to increase adoption of cryptocurrencies in everyday transactions. Franklin Templeton's head of digital assets, Sandy Kaul, predicts that AI agents will revolutionize blockchain through agentic micropayments.
