Samsung Wallet to Support Native Stablecoins
Samsung Electronics has announced plans to add native stablecoin support to its Samsung Wallet service, potentially giving millions of Galaxy device owners access to dollar-pegged digital currencies. The company made this revelation during its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event on July 22.
The expansion of the Samsung Wallet goes beyond everyday payments and savings, according to the company. It plans to combine payments, rewards, and digital assets within a single integrated service.
The proposed feature will allow users to transfer digital assets through an application already available on Galaxy phones, eliminating the need for a separate cryptocurrency app.
Samsung has not identified any supported stablecoins, issuers, or launch dates. The company also did not provide details about how this feature could reach different markets where Samsung Wallet operates.
