Samsung Wallet to Support Stablecoins on Galaxy Smartphones
Samsung Electronics has announced plans to add native support for stablecoins to its Samsung Wallet app, which is available on Galaxy smartphones.
The move was made during the company's recent Galaxy Unpacked event in London, where it showcased several new products and features.
The Samsung Wallet app currently allows users to manage payment cards, digital keys, boarding passes, and membership cards, as well as access some cryptocurrency-related services in certain regions.
With this update, the wallet will be able to handle stablecoins, which are a type of digital asset designed to maintain a stable value against a particular currency or commodity.
Samsung claims that this move will make it one of the leading mobile brands to integrate native stablecoin functionality into its smartphones.
