Sandwich Attack Robot Accumulates $29.5 Billion in Ethereum

A sandwich attack robot operated by JaredfromSubway.eth has accumulated around $29.5 billion in Ethereum (ETH) since March 2023, according to ChainCatcher's message.

However, in June 2026, an anonymous attacker deployed 66 fake token contracts that exploited the robot's automated trading logic, stealing at least $75 million worth of ETH and stablecoins and transferring them into Tornado Cash. The funds have yet to be recovered.

The sandwich attack is a form of Maximum Extractable Value (MEV) where the robot monitors Ethereum's public mempool for large transactions, buys before the target transaction, and sells after the price surge to extract profits from price differences.
