Satoshi-Era Bitcoin Holdings Soar by $15 Billion Amid BTC Price Rally
Bitcoin's recent rally has pushed its market value up by nearly 22% in just seven days, reaching a high of $81,265 on Tuesday. This surge is not only impacting current investors but also stirring interest in Bitcoin's pseudonymous creator Satoshi Nakamoto.
Satoshi Nakamoto is believed to have mined a substantial amount of Bitcoin during its early days and holds approximately 1.096 million BTC across roughly 22,000 addresses mapped by Arkham Intelligence. The exact figure remains uncertain, but the current worth of these holdings is estimated at $85.82 billion at Bitcoin's current price of $78,280.
The value of Satoshi's stash has increased by as much as $15 billion in tandem with the price increase, and it continues to move despite being untouched for years. Recent weeks have seen the awakening of long-dormant Bitcoin wallets, some dating back to the time when Satoshi was last active in the community.
