Satoshi Era Holdings Soar as Bitcoin Price Surges

Bitcoin has experienced a significant rally over the past week, with its price rising by nearly 22% from $62,679 on August 17 to a high of $81,265 on Tuesday. As a result, the total value of Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcoin holdings has increased by approximately $15 billion, bringing the current worth of these coins to $85.82 billion at their current price of $78,280.

According to Arkham Intelligence, Satoshi Nakamoto holds around 1.096 million BTC across roughly 22,000 addresses. Despite remaining untouched for years, these coins have seen an impressive gain in value, with a recent transfer of 40 BTC resulting in a realized profit of approximately $3.16 million.

The sudden movement of long-dormant Bitcoin wallets has been observed in recent weeks, some dating back to the time Satoshi Nakamoto was last active in the community. This trend may indicate that investors are taking advantage of the current market conditions and increasing their exposure to the cryptocurrency.
