Satoshi-Era Wallet Stirs Market Interest with Rare 600 BTC Move
A Satoshi-era Bitcoin wallet has moved 600 BTC after more than 16 years of dormancy. The funds, worth roughly $47.7 million at the time of transfer, were consolidated into two Native SegWit addresses.
The movement is notable because it's a rare occurrence for old coins to move after such a long period. However, it doesn't necessarily mean that the owner plans to sell their Bitcoin. Consolidation or wallet migration are also possible explanations.
Native SegWit addresses are modern Bitcoin address formats designed to improve transaction efficiency and fee handling. Moving old coins into these newer address types is often part of ordinary custody housekeeping, not a sign of immediate sell pressure.
