Satoshi's Legendary Stash Reactivated Amid Bitcoin Market Frenzy

A 1.096 million BTC stash of Bitcoin's pseudonymous creator Satoshi Nakamoto is once again drawing attention, with fresh onchain clues pointing to a legendary hoard.

The activity follows a major reawakening of 50 BTC wallets, including seven dormant wallets that were activated on September 5, 2026. This unusual move has caught the attention of analysts, especially given increased activity in the Bitcoin market.

According to Galaxy Research, seven dormant addresses containing 50 BTC were awakened after 16.5 years. Of those unspent coinbase outputs, 21,922 (1.096 million BTC) is thought to have been mined by Satoshi, accounting for 64.5% of the remainder.
