Saudi-Pakistan-Turkey Defense Pact Strengthens Muslim World Security
Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have signed a trilateral joint defense agreement with Turkey in Mecca on August 7, marking a significant step towards strengthening their collective security framework.
The pact brings together three of the Muslim world's most formidable military powers under a single umbrella, effectively upgrading the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan into something more ambitious by including NATO's second-largest military in Turkey.
Turkey fields one of NATO's most capable conventional forces, while Pakistan is a nuclear-armed state with deep institutional military experience. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia commands the largest defense budget in the Gulf and serves as a dominant economic force across the region.
