Saylor Advocates Decade-Long Wealth Test for Evaluating Bitcoin Demand
Michael Saylor, executive chairman of Strategy, is advocating for investors to evaluate Bitcoin through a decade-long wealth test. He presented the 'Bernard Arnault test', named after LVMH's chairman, which asks if someone richer and smarter will want to buy an asset ten years from now.
Saylor believes that top-tier luxury wealth, such as that held by Arnault, represents enduring buyer demand for assets with lasting value. He uses this framework to push investors to judge Bitcoin on expected demand in 2036 rather than current market swings.
Strategy, the company Saylor leads, holds approximately $63.36 billion worth of Bitcoin, acquired at an average price of $75,385 per coin. This represents roughly 4% of Bitcoin's total capped supply of 21 million coins.
