Saylor Clarifies 'Never Sell' Stance Amid Strategy's BTC Sales
Michael Saylor's clarification on his 'never sell your Bitcoin' stance has sparked a response from longtime Bitcoin skeptic Peter Schiff.
Saylor, the Strategy Chairman, reasserted that his personal Bitcoin holdings remain untouched, saying 'Not one satoshi' of his coins have been sold. However, this statement comes after Strategy authorized a BTC Monetization Program under which the company may sell BTC to fund its USD Reserve and pay dividends.
Saylor differentiated between his personal investment stance and Strategy's corporate responsibilities, pointing out that the company has disclosed since 2020 that it may buy or sell BTC to manage capital. However, Schiff was unconvinced by Saylor's explanation, claiming that Saylor's previous messages created a different impression that went unclarified.
