Saylor Drops Fresh Chart Teaser: Is Strategy Ready to Resume Buying Bitcoin?
Strategy's chairman Michael Saylor has posted another chart from StrategyTracker.com on X with the caption 'Doing Business', leaving investors wondering if the company is preparing to resume buying Bitcoin. This follows a similar post last Sunday, which was followed by an announcement of Bitcoin sales.
The new chart shows that Strategy's reserves stand at 842,138 BTC, equivalent to $54.66 billion. Since 2020, the company has completed 113 recorded acquisition rounds at an average purchase price of $75,653 per Bitcoin.
Strategy last made direct cryptocurrency purchases in June and has since then sold 1,638 BTC for approximately $105 million on August 3 to meet its near-term operating obligations. The funds were directed toward STRC buybacks and dividend payments, helping the company's available cash cushion reach an impressive $4 billion.
With a substantial amount of fiat currency at its disposal and the market temporarily trading below Strategy's average entry price, the company now has ideal conditions for dollar-cost averaging. This is a strategy that it traditionally returns to after settling its obligations.
