Saylor Teases Strategy's Next BTC Move Amid Speculation of Another Sale
Strategy's Chairman and former CEO Michael Saylor made another cryptic post on X about the company's Bitcoin (BTC) strategy.
The post, 'Doing ₿usiness,' features a clever use of the cryptocurrency's logo as the first letter of the second word. This has led many to speculate that Strategy may be resuming its BTC purchases, but a closer look at recent events suggests otherwise.
Last Sunday, Saylor posted another enigmatic message before announcing a third Bitcoin sale for the year. In this sale, Strategy disposed of 1,638 units for over $100 million. Analysts had even flagged the sale in advance due to the company's dropping BTC holdings, which now stand at 842,138.
Moreover, just days ago, another potential offload was outlined by Lookonchain as a wallet linked to Strategy transferred more than 1,000 units of BTC.
In response to the sale, Strategy used some of its proceeds to purchase its own STRC stock. Despite having a par price of $100, STRC had slumped below $80 before rising positively after Strategy halted its BTC purchases in late June to rebuild its USD reserve.
