Saylor Unveils 'Digital Energy' Theory Behind Bitcoin's Breakthrough
Michael Saylor, Executive Chairman of MicroStrategy (formerly Strategy), recently laid out his logic for cryptocurrency accumulation. According to him, Bitcoin's breakthrough lies in its ability to convert economic energy into digital form and securely bind it to a person, family, company, machine, or state.
This 'bound value' is reflected in the company's balance sheet, which holds 840,447 BTC worth $64.9 billion - approximately 4% of Bitcoin's total supply. However, this position has been under intense accounting pressure for a long time and only managed to return to a net unrealized gain of $1.4 billion due to recent price surges.
Saylor's concept is being tested in the company's Digital Credit sector, which channels Bitcoin's digital energy into a collateral base. The company issues tokenized obligations with fixed yields against this collateral.
