Saylor Urges Long-Term Patience Amid Strategy Stock Struggles
Michael Saylor, executive chairman of Strategy (MSTR), addressed concerns from shareholders about the company's stock performance and dividend payouts.
A shareholder expressed frustration that the company's ongoing at-the-market stock offerings may be diluting their shares, particularly noting a $73,000 investment made for his children was underperforming.
Saylor acknowledged the concerns, but emphasized the need for a long-term perspective, suggesting a time horizon of up to a decade.
He clarified that shareholders interested in dividend payouts should consider the company's preferred stock, specifically the 'Stride' (STRD) variant, which offers an effective yield of 15%.
Saylor also noted that Strategy has strengthened its cash reserves through efforts such as selling stockpiled Bitcoin, which has experienced a decline in price from over $126,000 in October to around half that value currently.
