Saylor's 'Add More Dots' Post Revives BTC Buy Speculation
Strategy's executive chairman Michael Saylor sparked speculation that the firm is planning to buy more Bitcoin (BTC) after posting an update on the company's BTC acquisition tracker chart. He wrote, 'A good time to add more dots.'
In a direct reply, CEO Phong Le said, 'Our corporate strategy is to increase net Bitcoin and Bitcoin per share over time.' This post comes one day before Strategy's June 8 annual meeting.
The timing of the update is significant as it coincides with a period of heightened scrutiny around Strategy's financial position. The company's US dollar reserve has narrowed in recent weeks, standing at $900 million as of May 31.
Strategy holds approximately 843,706 BTC at an average purchase price of $75,699 per coin, making the current value of the position roughly $52.2 billion. A purchase executed at current prices would lower the average cost basis and widen the gap between the June 1 sale price and the firm's overall entry level.
