Saylor's Bitcoin Sell-Off Yields Over $100 Million for Strategy
Michael Saylor's company, Strategy, has raised over $100 million by selling 1,638 bitcoin at an average price of $63,957. This sale is part of the firm's plan to boost its cash reserves and fund stock repurchases. Despite the sale, Strategy still holds over 800,000 bitcoin, which it purchased at an average price higher than the current value.
The company disclosed that it sold the bitcoin at an average price of $63,957, just days after announcing plans to sell around $5 billion worth of the cryptocurrency. The sale has increased Strategy's cash reserves to $4 billion, up from $3.2 billion last month. Saylor previously announced.
The company's stock was up slightly on Monday morning, trading at $93.94 per share, although its share price remains down over 40% in 2026 so far as the price for its primary asset declines. Strategy still holds 842,138 bitcoin, which it purchased at an average price of $75,419.
