Saylor's Personal Bitcoin Stance Diverges from Strategy's Corporate Policy
Michael Saylor has emphasized his personal philosophy of never selling Bitcoin since 2020. He has repeatedly stated that his average cost for his personal holdings is below market price and that he has never reduced his holdings.
This philosophy, however, does not extend to the corporate strategy of Strategy, where the company can buy and sell BTC for capital management purposes. In fact, Strategy has executed small-scale sales of its Bitcoin holdings to meet financial needs while maintaining zero sales in Saylor's personal holdings.
The trend observed with Strategy is reflective of a broader shift among corporate Bitcoin holders. Under pressure from stock price and liquidity concerns, these companies are adjusting their positions by distinguishing between personal long-term beliefs and corporate capital management.
