Saylor's Strategies Spark Doubts About Bitcoin's Future Price
Jason Calacanis, an early Uber investor, has expressed doubts about Bitcoin reaching its target price of $250,000. He believes that billionaire Michael Saylor's efforts to accumulate a large portion of Bitcoin through complex financial engineering have fundamentally altered the market, making it harder for the cryptocurrency to reach such high targets.
In a recent post on X, Calacanis questioned whether Bitcoin can even hit $250,000, let alone its often-mentioned target price of $1 million. He attributes this skepticism to Saylor's strategies, which he calls 'funky financial engineering.'
This stance is not shared by everyone in the industry. Anthony Scaramucci, a well-known investor and Bitcoin supporter, remains bullish on the cryptocurrency despite describing its current market environment as a bear market. Scaramucci believes that the halving cycle will lead to tighter supply and higher prices for Bitcoin.
