Saylor's Strategy Raises $333M Selling MSTR Stock, Leaves Bitcoin Stash Intact
Michael Saylor's Strategy, which holds Bitcoin in its treasury, has generated over $333 million by selling MSTR stock through an at-the-market program. The sales occurred between late August and early September, with around 3.5 million shares of MSTR common stock being sold.
The net proceeds from the sale were allocated across three areas: STRC preferred dividends ($52.4 million), STRC share repurchases ($132.2 million), and adding to its USD Reserve ($149.1 million). The company's USD Reserve, intended to cover preferred dividends and interest on debt, now stands at $4.80 billion.
Strategy has been using equity as a source of liquidity rather than relying solely on Bitcoin sales. Since May, the company has sold about 6,948 BTC for approximately $431.8 million in proceeds. However, no Bitcoin was bought or sold over the past week.
