Saylor's 'We're Back' Signals MicroStrategy's Bitcoin Buying Resumes
Michael Saylor's cryptic post on X - 'We're ₿ack' - sent shockwaves through the Bitcoin market after a 10-week silence. This move is significant because it signals Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) is ready to resume buying Bitcoin, despite selling 6,916 BTC in the past few weeks.
During those 10 weeks, Strategy executed four separate Bitcoin sales to restructure its balance sheet and create liquidity for dividend payments. The company retired preferred stock obligations and built a financial buffer that didn't exist before. Now, with $1.59 billion in available funds at an average acquisition cost of $75,385 per BTC, the buying machine can restart.
The Bitcoin price is currently above Strategy's average acquisition cost, which means every BTC on their books is now profitable. Rising dominance and institutional demand are also contributing to this momentum.
