Sber Rolls Out Corporate Cryptocurrency Settlements for Foreign Trade
Russian bank Sber has launched a new service allowing corporate clients to make international cryptocurrency settlements.
The service, which went live on September 1, 2026, enables companies to transfer cryptocurrencies between wallets in several minutes, with an average transaction cost of 0.3%.
The tool is designed for businesses engaged in foreign trade and requires the company to have a genuine foreign trade contract and provide necessary documents, including information about the counterparty and payment purpose.
Sber's new service does not eliminate client or foreign trade contract screening, and companies must still comply with Russian law and other requirements.
