Russia's largest bank, Sberbank, is poised to accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tether (USDT) as collateral for loans. This move marks a significant shift in the bank's approach to digital assets.

According to Deputy Chairman Anatoly Popov, the bank has gained practical experience with crypto assets and is adapting its products as Russia's regulatory framework evolves.

The inclusion of ETH and USDT remains contingent on approval from the Bank of Russia, which will determine their eligibility for public circulation.
