SBI Snaps Up 20% Stake in Indonesian Multi-Asset Platform Ajaib

Share

SBI Holdings has acquired an approximately 20% stake in Ajaib Group, a multi-asset platform based in Indonesia, for $270 million. The investment is part of SBI's strategy to develop digital-asset infrastructure and exchange networks centered on Southeast Asia.

The deal makes Ajaib an equity-method affiliate, with the capital expected to fund expansion across the region. The company operates a multi-asset platform offering traditional financial products and digital assets, including stocks, bonds, funds, crypto assets, stablecoins, commodities, and foreign exchange.

SBI has framed the partnership as part of its regional strategy, aiming to build digital-asset infrastructure and an exchange network focused on Southeast Asia. The investment combines a significant equity holding with overlapping ambitions: Ajaib's push beyond its existing base and SBI's plan for Southeast Asian digital-asset market infrastructure.
