SBIT Sees Fresh Inflows as Investors Hedge Against Potential Bitcoin Downturn
Despite Bitcoin's recent volatility and decline of nearly 20% over the past three months, some investors remain skeptical about its ability to sustain a rebound. The ProShares UltraShort Bitcoin ETF (SBIT) has seen fresh inflows of $549,908 on August 6, marking another vote of confidence in leveraged bearish exposure to Bitcoin.
The modest inflow represents approximately 0.33% of the fund's assets under management, totaling around $168.43 million. This suggests that investors are taking a tactical approach to managing risk and hedging against potential losses.
Bitcoin is currently trading at $64,912.01, with some analysts pointing to improving short-term technical indicators. However, this latest inflow into SBIT indicates that not all investors share the same optimism about Bitcoin's near-term prospects.
