Rusty contacted crypto recovery specialist Chris Brooks in 2021 with a tale of woe. He claimed to have won $53 million worth of Bitcoin in a court case, but needed help accessing it.

Brooks and his son flew to Georgia to assist Rusty, who revealed that the wallet contained not just BTC, but also $1 billion in ETH. The men then went to a strip mall where they spent the day opening wallets, only to find about $10 in Bitcoin.

Brooks suspects Rusty was scammed into thinking he had a large crypto fortune when he didn't. This experience served as an early lesson for their business.
