The Kentucky State Police Post 03 in Bowling Green is warning residents about an ongoing scam targeting individuals in the community. Scammers are contacting victims by phone, claiming they have outstanding fines that need to be resolved immediately.

Victims are instructed to withdraw cash from their bank accounts and deposit it into a bitcoin kiosk located at 840 Morgantown Rd. They are then advised to transfer the funds to the scammer using cryptocurrency, making it difficult if not impossible to recover the money once sent.

The Kentucky State Police emphasize that residents should hang up on these calls immediately and not send any funds. This warning comes as a reminder of the importance of being cautious when receiving unsolicited phone calls or messages asking for financial information or transactions.
