Scammers Target Kentuckians with Jury Duty Scam

Kentucky residents are being targeted by scammers posing as law enforcement officials claiming they've missed jury duty.

The scammer then instructs their victim to withdraw cash and pay a fine in Bitcoin at a local cryptocurrency kiosk, according to the Kentucky State Police (KSP).

'Instead of going to law enforcement to pay a legitimate fine, this money goes directly to the scammer,' KSP warns.

KSP reports that once cryptocurrency is sent, it's 'extremely difficult, if not impossible' to recover.
