The Kentucky State Police Post Three is warning the community about an ongoing Bitcoin kiosk scam. Scammers are contacting victims by phone, claiming they have fines that need to be resolved.

Troopers say victims are being instructed to withdraw cash and take it to a Bitcoin kiosk located at 840 Morgantown Road. They are then advised to deposit the money into the machine and transfer the funds to the scammer using cryptocurrency.

Once the funds are sent, authorities say it is difficult, if not impossible, to recover them.
